The new HIV vaccine

Who does not know about this one disease. Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), the disease is known to shut down and until now no cure for sufferers. However, recently scientists have tested a vaccine that can reliably reduce the level of HIV from a fatal disease into a chronic disease that is lighter, if this vaccine can be through phase II and III clinical trials.

Scientists reveal the first tests in humans showed 9 out of 10 volunteers developed an immune response against the virus, about 85% are able to maintain immunity for at least 1 year. The success of the vaccine, known as MVA-B is based on the human immune system's ability to learn how to react from time to time against the virus particles and cells already infected.
Professor Mariano Esteban Superior of the Spanish Scientific Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid told Dailymail, Friday (09/30/2011) that the MVA-B vaccine has proven to be more powerful as other vaccines currently being studied by scientists.
Previously, this vaccine has been tested on rats and monkeys that are based on a vaccine to treat smallpox by adding four genes of HIV could not replicate themselves so that safety is more assured. After that new trials conducted in humans. Volunteers are involved in this study received three doses of vaccine at the beginning, then at mingge to-4 and 16 by observing its effect through a blood test until the last trial at month 11. Cells 'soldiers' in the vaccine detects foreign substances in the body and sends a message to destroy it, these immune cells known as lymphocytes T and B.
Prof. Esteban added again that our bodies are filled with lymphocytes, each of which has a program to fight against different pathogens, including HIV. Therefore if the virus entry and try to develop themselves in the cells, the immune system is ready to disable and destroy it.
